兰州没把维基上反对意见贴出来啊？本来要有13个区包括在新省内的，结果现在有9个区反对。致使计划难产。
Nine out of 13 districts to be included in the proposed province have rejected the proposal, citing the following reasons:

There is lack of a clear Saraiki-speaking majority among the Punjabi population of five districts (Bahawalnagar, Vehari, Khanewal, Mianwali and Bhakkar).
Baluchi language is spoken by the majority of the population in the districts of Dera Ghazi Khan and Rajanpur.
The popular demands of the residents of Bahawalpur and Rahim Yar Khan is a separate province in the steps of the former princely state Bahawalpur.
The districts of Layyah, Lodhran, Multan and Muzaffargarh objected to creation of a separate province based on linguistic criteria.
Additionally, the political parties campaigning for the creation of Saraikistan also rejected the new province as incompatible with their agendas, while Pakistan People's Party denounced the proposal as a "political stunt".

真有规划把人口最多的旁遮普省南部分出一个saraiki省。该地区主要方言是saraiki方言。从80年代开始，巴基斯坦人口普查时，已经把saraiki人从旁遮普人中分出单独统计。使用这种语言或方言的人现在估计也有近2000万。

我恰好在南旁遮普（主要在Bahawalpur市）生活过大半年，感觉当地文化和以拉合尔为代表的北旁遮普基本没有差别，当地民众几乎没有所谓的Saraiki认同
