[村居]自然村，行政村的一种翻译等 [复制链接]

在 “天涯社区”网站的“英语杂谈”板块里的《时事英文记者常说关于中国经济的词汇》帖子（作者 一天到晚加菲猫）里看到关于自然村，行政村的翻译，它这样的翻译是我头回看到，摘录下，

incorporated village       行政村
　　
unincorporated village  自然村

另外还有，

secondary vocational school  中等职业学校

non-publicly funded schools  民办学校

municipalities directly under the central government   直辖市 （我觉得这个不是翻译，是名词解释）

deliver a good report to the people   向人民交出满意的答卷

resource-conserving and environmentally friendly society   资源节约型和环境友好型社会
　　
ensure that all of the people share in the fruits of reform and development    让全体人民共享改革发展的成果

我个人认为，行政村就翻译为“Cun”最好，毕竟这是人为的行政划分，没必要硬凑英文单词。

行政村翻译为incorporated village尚可，自然村翻译为unincorporated village则极为不妥。

英语的unincorporated area（town, village, territory）系指某一不从属于任何基层自治体的地区，这显然与中国“自然村”的概念并不符合

事实上，中国并不存在所谓的unincorporated area，所以“incorporated”一词也显得不甚合适了
