Hi Jeff,

The amazing paths category has captivated me. I am curious to know where those paths are located. It would be helpful if there was a footnote or some description mentioning the place name and other geographical notes.

Truly, you have a really great collection of photos!

Thank you for sharing them.

Sincerely Alnoor

Hi Joe. I did a bit of Googling and couldn’t come up with anything.

Jeff, I did too, and found the same paths on 4 web sites. Tried various clues to get to the tree bridge but did not have any luck. I think I have seen 5 of the paths before, and I would bet 5, maybe 6 are from china. One reply on the Jay in Ames site credits some of them in Germany.

Thanks a ton for the information everyone. I’ve updated the image captions appropriately.

*Sky, I did a bunch of searching to verify the locations and I discovered that #14 is actually the boardwalk at Plitvice National Park in Croatia.

*Rae, I don’t think the snow image was from anything so recent. These have been floating around the internet for a while now.

Thanks Vernita, however, these aren’t my personal images. They’ve been floating around the internet for a while now and have popped up on several different sites. I got them in an email from my aunt.

Number 10 has to be Keukenhof Gardens in Lisse, Holland. Just received a TravelSmith catalog with a very similar image on the front cover.

Jeff, I am completely spellbound by the Amazing Paths that you posted. I have not traveled out of the US so have no idea where these are. Could you direct me to a site so that I could identify them? (It would REALLY be nice of you since today is my birthday!)

Jeff,

That shot in San Francisco is on California St, not Lombard. In an Amazing Paths email I just received from a friend a Lombard St shot was also included.

Jeff, 08 is Tianmen Mountain in Hunan Province, China. 12 could be the road to it but probably not. You can see the mountain at http://player.vimeo.com/video/31481531?autoplay=1

I beleive number 7 is the walkway out to Point Reyes light house, just north of San Francisco. It is hard to tell from the fog. I will try to find my photos I took there and share them with you.

#6 might be access road into the lodge at Crater Lake in Oregon. I’ve been there in May and the snow was almost this high. however, the car in the foreground appears to be on the left side of the road–so maybe not in the US. Just a guess.
